PERFORMANCE VENUE RIDER
The Coney Island Circus Sideshow is extremely versatile, and able to perform in a variety of settings. A good performance area should be roughly 6 to 8 feet around. A performance stage is ideal, but not essential to our performance. Access to electricity is required for show function. Audio hookups for music and microphones are preferred, but not required. Performances including magic as a show component require a performance space shielded from view from behind and to the sides of the performance area to provide the best presentation to the audience.
A private dressing area for performers, appropriately conditioned air (heat/cool) with mirrors and access to electricity is required.
Outdoor venues are acceptable but should be shielded from wind, rain and other elements for ideal show conditions. The Coney Island Circus Sideshow provides performers and props only. We are not equipped with portable structures or tents to house a show. The client is responsible for providing adequate shielding and shelter for outdoor performances.
FIRE PERFORMANCE DISCLAIMER
Performance venues must be approved for the performance of fire. Local fire authorities should be consulted and approve fire performances within the boundaries of the given venue. Fire eating is diminished and difficult to perform in outdoor conditions. Fire eating is extremely diminished during the day and especially so in sunny conditions. In most cases, outdoor daytime performances of fire are not recommended. Please take this into consideration before booking fire performances.
PAYMENT
We accept cash, check or credit cards as payment. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to hold a booking slot. Upon receiving a booking request, a performance contract will be generated and a draft will be sent to the client for review. Upon approval and receipt of the deposit, the show will be locked into the schedule. Executable contracts will accompany the show manager and will be signed at the event prior to performance. Balance of payments may be made at the event.
SHOW DISCLAIMER
The Coney Island Circus Sideshow features live human beings performing acts and stunts requiring a tremendous amount of skill and training. Many of the acts performed are extremely dangerous and, to some, very shocking. It is important to note, that while we work hard to provide a range of shows to suit any audience, even our most family friendly presentations some may find difficult to watch. We make no apologies for this, as we are practicing a long-standing tradition of classic circus sideshow performances, which by virtue of their very nature, are designed to inspire shock and awe. Nevertheless, we always work for the best possible outcome, so when booking us, please bear in mind that not all of our performers will be appropriate for some audiences. We will always work tirelessly to select the best performers to bring the most positive result to your event.
Coney Island, USA reserves the right to refuse bookings for any reason.
