The Gentrification of Brooklyn: The Pink Elephant Speaks

This exhibition brings together over 20 artists whose work investigates the controversial impact of gentrification on the great borough of Brooklyn. Working across varied mediums, these artists challenge conventional thinking on the subject and highlight the divergent opinions and agendas at play. It is at once a record of the past, a snapshot of the present state of affairs, and a courageous look into Brooklyn's possible future. The idea of change and its inevitability as a rationale for "progress" is dissected and debated. This exhibition is not a documentary, but rather an open dialogue in unusually mixed company.
