There is supposed to be a Farmers Market in that lot.The Flea market is supposed to be in the lot next to Beer Island. Tent markings are also on the back fence of that lot.

A Farmers Market! WOW, so I guess I might not have to trek to Union Sq on Sunday afternoons for artisan cheeses, FRESHLY PICKED VEGATABLES as I often do.
I can already hear the children, " MOM, can we go to Coney Island to buy fresh picked Brocoli"?

asked this before under another topic, and no one answered.
How can we use current zoning to make a official complaint that Sitt is placing non amusments on C7 zoned land. There must be a government entity that does this sort of enforcing??

What does this sound like to you?
Quote:
The Supreme Court affirmed, providing a good explanation of the difference between preliminary plat approval and final plat approval. The Court explained “a preliminary plat is a tentative plan which the developer submits to the planning commission for review and acceptance…When both parties agree on all the specifications, reservations, conditions, etc., then there exists a blueprint for a final plat.” Further, the Court noted, “Only when the plat becomes final are the parties’ rights and expectations fixed.
Until a plat becomes final, it cannot be recorded and lots cannot be sold
.” The Court continued that today, since the owner’s proposed development of one-acre lots does not conform to the current zoning, the commission cannot approve it.

THIS question WAS asked at the CB13 meeting, last Thurs evening. Sarah, the young lady from City Planning said that it's private land owners, and they cannot do anything about it.

That is so wrong, the city has control over its use. It just shows you the ignorance of the city workers involved. Just because land is privately owned, people cant do as they please with it. It the law, not only here in new york, but any city throughout the world. The owners of any property are restricted by zoning of the land as what they can do with the land.
If what she said was true, Sitt would have flipped the land to someone who broke ground on 60 story condo towers already.
