The Official 2009 Mermaid Parade Award Winners

Your Lord Judges have finally parsed through all the sodden notes and are proud to present the 2009 Mermaid Parade Winners list.

If you're not on this list it is surely an oversight. This year's parade was particularly spectacular and there were not nearly enough awards or categories to recognize all the worthy marchers. If you're not on this list, don't despair. We'll get you next year!!

We're still working out the distribution of Awards, so don't call the Office. Sit tight. Give us a chance to recover and we'll be in touch.

Note that for each categories winners are listed with their registration number. Each is listed in first, second and third place order. Where there is missing info we are happy to hear from you (reply in this thread or in a private message to the Chief Justice). While we made every effort to ensure that this list is error free, we reserve the right to correct errors at any time. In spots where you see question marks, this is a good likelihood of change.

I am so honored and thankful to rank amongst all the beautiful mermaids.

Coney Island and the Mermaid Parade are very special to me, I wait in excitement for it all year long to play amongst all the creations that come to life.

Not sure I know how to insert an image, I'm a bit of a Luddite (but I gave it a try). Nevertheless, a big thank you and fishie kisses to all the Judges from Splashdance!!! Even though my swollen feet have yet to recover, my rain soaked heart is filled with love for Coney Island.

Ready and roaring for next year. Mermaid Day is the happiest day of the year by far. Also, I'm happy to be in line with our friends the KK Sea Spirits who are friends in the default world. Oh, and I don't know who the Roller Coast Ladies are, but they rocked. I haven't seen a single picture of them from the whole day where they aren't smiling ear to ear.

I can't wait to see pictures of the ones I missed on parade day.

What A Feeling!!!

On behalf of Cyberdyne's M-800 "Merminator" unit....THANK YOU for this award, and for a much-improved Mermaid Parade experience! I have only attended the Mermaid Parade once before in 2005, and it was good to see that security has been vastly improved. I like the new route, too! Incredible KUDOS to the great folks who busted dorsal fins to put such a great Parade together!!!!

"I'll be back" (with a different entry and more bribes, promise!) in 2010 and beyond.
