Well Carol did say that if she was to get the RFP she would be bringing in 'new' attractions.

Considering the condition and age of the rides, the prices for the Top Spin and Breakdance are simply too high for the current state of the market.

Yes, and what "new rides"? More of the same from last year?

Maybe Carol has some inside info and knows that she is out of the running?

This is the most likely scenario I think as well.

Sadly, I agree. The Dante's Inferno clinched that for me.

Yep, it looks like Zamperla won the lease!

Looks like this thread is finished, and it stayed on topic.

Maybe Carol should talk to Bullard about leasing his property?

WOW Zamperla? Is there info about it?

Yes, that is a GREAT idea, hope she reads this and goes ahead and gets on the Horn to Horace! Smiley  Wouldn't that be great, rides ALL the way to the Stadium! Just a shame it has to stop there!

My impression is that NY1 leaked the story before the city was ready to make a formal announcement - I would assume that announcement is coming very soon.   The mayor gives his state of the city address this afternoon.

Bullard does not have complete control of the Thunderbolt property.  I am sure that there is someone on this board that can explain it better, but the outer perimeter of the property is controlled by the city.

There is NO infrastructure on Bullard's property.

Bullard wants top dollar and is holding tight until he gets it.  He is a very difficult man.

That's true about the infrastructure, it's not ready to be inhabitable by anything without a tail and fur or wings and antennae.

It would be a shame that this land could be filled with rides, and just sits unused gathering rats.

Any word yet on what the zoning would be for the Thunderbolt parcel?  Has the construction of Keyspan Park completely eliminated any potential amusement uses for the lot?  Is Bullard now soley intent on cashing in the land since his new Steeplechase Park proposals were killed off by the Giuliani administration?
