Coney Island USA’s landmarked headquarters, 1208 Surf Avenue, is celebrating its 100th birthday this fall. We’re honoring New York’s oldest home for freaks, geeks, and merfolk with a special campaign to support our Coney Island Museum. As the only accredited institution uniquely dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of Coney Island, the Museum is vital to ensuring the legacy of the People’s Playground lives on. Your gift is not only a testament to Coney Island’s amazing history, but an investment in its next 100 years. Make your gift today by texting CIMUSEUM to 71777 or online here!

Freaks Don't Cry
Coney Island USA Presents: A Linked Dance Theatre and Funhouse Philosophers Production
Freaks Don't Cry is an immersive experience inspired by Coney Island's acclaimed sideshow. Our cast is seeking a daring audience, enthusiastic about joining the act.
Calling back to the Glam Rock era of the mid 1970’s, and the death defying acts and curiosities of sideshows, we seek to entertain and mystify you. We also are inviting the possibility of a single audience member getting to be initiated as a honorary freak to help us save our show!
The show is loosely based on Hans Christian Anderson's 'The Little Mermaid' and seeks to explain the reason freaks like mermaids don't cry.
Linked Dance Theatre makes stories come to life through movement, text, music and everything related to the body. Out of our practice, comes staged and immersive works that subvert the conventional norms of what theatre or dance should or should not be. Linked Dance Theatre works tend to question very liminal spaces and seek to explore the essence of what makes us human.
