Reading & Wine Reception: Inga's Zigzags by Vica Miller

Dates:
Friday, June 27, 2014 - 8:00pm

Vica Miller will read from her recently published debut novel, Inga's Zigzags, in which a 28-year-old Russian woman leaves New York for post-perestroika Moscow to start her own business and falls in love with two women along the way. Kirkus Reviews said, "In this well-written debut novel... Miller engagingly presents a heroine caught between contradictions: New York and Moscow; flashy glamour and self-pitying nostalgia; certainty and doubt.  A sexy tale with plenty of Russian atmosphere.."

Followed by books signing and wine reception.

Vica Miller is a native of St. Petersburg (Russia) and a New Yorker for over  two decades. George Plimpton called her a writer, and she believed him.

She is the founder of the Vica Miller Literary Salons, a chamber reading series held at private NYC galleries, and has written for Vogue Russia, Internet and Tennis Week magazines. Her short stories have appeared in The Jet Fuel Review, Asymptote, The Linnet's Wings and Thrice Fiction literary journals. Vica is an excellent swimmer, a beginner paraglider and a mother of two.
