The 80th anniversary of the beloved MGM musical film "The Wizard of Oz" is upon us. To mark the occasion, writer/performer Trav S.D. (Travalanche, "No Applause Just Throw Money: The Book That Made Vaudeville Famous") will take a look at this classic's show business roots: from the original humbug P.T. Barnum, to county fairs and medicine shows, vaudeville, old time melodrama, sideshows, Broadway, and silent movies. Entertaining lecture accompanied by a jaw-dropping slide show. Come in costume as your favorite character from any of the "Oz" books and be eligible for a prize!
