Ask The Experts: Danielle Mastrion - Live on Zoom

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 - 7:00pm

Danielle Mastrion is a Brooklyn-born, NYC artist who has been painting murals, locally and internationally, since 2012. Her first aerosol mural painted in 2012 was at the historic 5POINTZ in Long Island City, Queens and she credits the institution for making her pick up a spray can. Her work has taken her to Europe, the Middle-East, Central America, South America, & the Caribbean.

In New York, Danielle is best known for her full building mural at the entrance of Shirley Chisholm State Park in Brooklyn, a partnership with NY State Parks and the Governor’s Office. Many of her walls can be found throughout her home neighborhood of Coney Island, including at the New York Aquarium; Luna Park NYC; Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park; Coney Island USA; the Coney Island Brewery; Ruby’s Bar and Grill; and several other walls in the area. She also designed  commemorative tee-shirts for the Mermaid Parade and the Coney Island Polar Bear Club, of which she is a member.

Danielle was the cover artwork artist for the 30th Anniversary of Spike Lee’s “Do The Right Thing” in 2019, having painted several murals for the anniversary as well as the featured paintings inside of the Criterion Collection’s DVD release.

Danielle's work has a focus on social justice, specifically Women's rights and  youth education. Currently living and working in Brooklyn, Danielle hopes to continue painting walls and canvases in every city she visits, connecting communities through art and education.

Ticket sales end on Wednesday, March 10th at 5pm.
