The NY TIMES described Shelly Watson as “Rambunctious, over the top and of incredible charm.” She has taken every artistic opportunity to become her own brand of entertainment as a professional musician, comedian, emcee, producer, and director rocking the New York City scene for over 30 years. Shelly’s first Mermaid Parade was in 1992. She’s been a regular for Burlesque at the Beach, fundraisers and Galas and competed for the title of Miss Coney Island in 2018. She’s tickled pink to fulfill a lifelong dream of emceeing The Mermaid Parade June 17th 2023.

BRADFORD SCOBIE is a beloved show-host of burlesque & variety throughout Coney Island & Beyond. His many stage personas include Doctor Donut, Mister Peaches & Johnny Rooster, but is best known as naughty English gentleman, Sir Richard Castle. Bradford is thrilled to emcee the Mermaid Parade as his most bizarre character yet: Himself.

Our emcees are located at the judges reviewing stand on Surf Avenue and 19th St. throughout the parade! The Mermaid Parade is Saturday, June 17, 2023, 1pm!
